Ek Balam, Cenote & Valladolid

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and make your way to Valladolid. Once there, the tour begins with a walk through the colorful weekly market in the colonial town. Here you get an insight into the everyday life of the city's residents and can taste one or two exotic fruits.
This is followed by a panoramic tour of the historic center of the city before continuing to the archaeological zone of Ek Balam.

The impressive buildings of Ek-Balam were built around 700-1000 AD and are now almost the only Mayan ruins that are still open to tourists. The climb is worth it! Once you reach the top, you'll have a great view of the subtropical jungle! Of course, our guides are archaeologically certified and can tell you lots of interesting facts about Ek-Balam!

Lunch is served around 2:00 p.m. You can choose between various traditional Mexican dishes at the buffet before visiting a wonderful cenote and refreshing yourself in the crystal clear water.

For guests staying in hostels, holiday apartments or other accommodation, a conveniently located meeting point will be arranged. When booking a tour, please specify where exactly you will be staying.
